The Tiki's Beginning My “Tiki’s” began with a tank that a friend gave me. I was looking at the shape, and came across a photo of a huge sculpture of a head in Peru. Using the general characteristics of the Peruvian model, I carved out the tank into a fire-breathing monster. Somewhere in the translation, the head evolved into a Tiki; bringing to the world the first Peruvian Tiki. It seems that the steel, born in fire, and welded with fire, makes a perfect burning pit. Every Tiki is unique. The Tiki’s mass, the patina, and the expressive faces work well for many decorating applications.
